S4/Ep10 Ego Rallies, The Pitfalls of Expectations, and Finding Peace in Presence: Reflection Series #2 with Ashley

Ashley and I are BACK for another impromptu Reflection Session — this time exploring “ego rallies”, releasing expectations, and embracing peace in the present moment.

We reflect on some more takeaways from this seasons’ guest interviews and use them as vehicles to understand some of the deeper, unconscious stories we could be holding on to. Stories that could transpire to us: seeking unconscious validation through our creative work, projecting judgement towards others (and ourselves) and the barriers that could be preventing us from following joy in our everyday. She’s a pure, powerful and illuminating one today friends (!!!) ✨

Topics Discussed:

• When life gets UNCOMFY: how to navigate dark moments aka “ego rallies”

• The (sneaky) trap of setting expectations and how to reconnect with creating-for-creatings-sake

• How judging others (always) = judging yourself

• Why peace is our ultimate purpose

• The power of presence: reminders on coming back to the here and now

Listener Invitations:

• Where in my life am I attaching expectations to my creativity or hobbies?

• How do I define peace, and what would it look like to make it my primary purpose?

• What stories am I telling myself about my worth based on my achievements or output?
